AOL browsers severely compresses graphics by default, making them look terrible.

Here's what I found out regarding a solution:

AOL 4.0:
Go to "My AOL"
drag down to "Preferences".
Click on the WWW box,
click on the "Web Graphics" tab.
Uncheck the "Use compressed graphics" box.
Click "Apply".

All graphics from web pages you have previously looked at in the recent past are still in the browser's cache files and
will still come up in the blurry
compressed form. If you are going to view these images again, you might want to clear your cache.
In the web browser, click on the "View" tab
drag down to "Internet Options".
Under "Temporary Internet Files" choose "Delete Files".

For Version 3.0:
go to "Members" and drag down to "Preferences".
Click on "WWW"
click on the "Graphics" tab.
Uncheck the "Use compressed graphics" box.
Click "Apply".
All graphics from web pages you have previously looked at in the recent past are
still in the browser's cache files and will still come up in the blurry compressed form.
If you are going to view these images again, you might want to
clear your cache.
To do so, click on the "Advanced" tab.
Click on "Settings" under "Temporary Internet files".
Click the "Empty Folders" button
Click "OK"

Back to previous page.
